Day Services for the Over 60's
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday we offer an open access day service for anyone over the age of 60. With a range of fun activities and a tasty home made meal we always have room for one more person at the table.
Our Charges to attend are
£3 per day membership and activities*
£7 for Lunch, this includes a main meal, dessert and drink
£5 for transport, return journey, if needed.
If you would like to attend, you are welcome to make your own way in. Lunches need to be ordered by 10am (this can be done over the phone). If you require transport we recommend booking a regular slot to guarantee your seat on our bus. We are an open access centre, so although we can accept members with memory loss and early stages of dementia, we do not have a locked door policy so would not be suitable for anyone with a tendency to wander or those with higher care needs.
*Some activities have an optional extra charge, like Bingo and horse racing.

Where every member matters
Our aim at RISE Woking is for every member to feel loved and valued. Through preparing our food to our highest standard, entertaining and engaging with all, we hope everyone feels welcomed and an important part of our RISE family.
Lunches
We know lunches are one of the most important aspects of our day services. Our menu is varied and never repeats. Everything is cooked on site. From roast dinners to fish and chips there is always something for everyone. We can cater for all dietary requirements and provide a range of alternative dishes to the main meal, if it is not to your taste. There are a range of desserts every day and a selection of juices with the option to upgrade to a glass of wine.
Transport
Our minibus can be spotted at a distance. It has 12 seats and a tail lift, making boarding the bus easy. It usually does 2 rounds twice a day, firstly collecting those around the borough of Woking, from 9:30, then secondly those nearer St Mary's community centre from 10:30. Each day there is an escort on the bus to support the driver, lending a helpful arm to those that need it when collecting from the front door.
Care
At RISE Woking we feel it is important to get to know every member individually. We often liaise with family members or next of kin about any concerns or important changes that we have observed. We pride ourselves in remembering each individual's preferences, likes and dislikes. We know everyone is different and should be treated with the utmost respect. Every member matters.
Bingo
Join us for a weekly game of bingo. Each book of 6 games costs £1, either play with 1 book or if you're an expert bingo player you're welcome to play with up to 6 books. The more people that play - the bigger the prize fund!
Games and Activities
Our games and activities are all designed for fun! Our monthly activity programme includes games such as "play your cards right", Boccia, Curling and Quizzes.
Parties
At RISE Woking we love having parties. A great chance for everyone to get together, we take over the main hall with entertainment, dancing and a special raffles. We ask people to book in advance as we often have high numbers attending, but there is always room for one more
